    Dear RAD Chapters and members:

As you all know, we will have a delegate meeting at the RAD 2009 conference in Chicago this coming June! RAD will do business via electronic mail (0e-mail) and web postings. This will save RAD a lot of time and expense in mailings.

You'll find the RAD Bylaws, Policy Manual, and Conference Policy and Guidelines at http://www.rad.org/insideRAD.shtml#Documents. Please review or download all three documents.

You or someone in your chapter should take the time to review these documents carefully. If anyone feels that there is a need to amend the Bylaws or revise/add/delete to the Policy Manual and/or Conference Policy and Guidelines, please go to:

http://www.rad.org/library/motion_b.pdf. First, save the blank motion sheet on your personal computer.

This motion sheet is for making suggestions regarding amendments to bylaws and/or revise/add/delete to Policy Manual and Conference Policy & Guidelines. You may use the same form for making any other issues that you would like RAD to address. Please type in the motion(s) and save it in MS Word format. Then send it to: Secretary@rad.org.

All proposal(s) need be sent to the Acting Law Committee Chair, Steven Schumacher by March 1, 2009. If you prefer to mail the proposal(s), send to:

    Steven Schumacher
    Acting Law Committee Chair
    9804 Walker House Road, #4
    Montgomery Village, MD 20886

After Steven receives the proposals; he will work closely with the Law Committees (Bylaws Chair or Policy Chair) for review. Any proposed bylaws will be distributed to each chapter and posted on the RAD Website 60 days prior to the conference. Extra copies will not be distributed at the conference. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask by e-mail at Secretary@rad.org or write a letter to Steven. I look forward to a productive conference!

    Sincerely,

    Steven Schumacher Bob Rourke
Acting Law Committee Chair Bylaw Chair
